chris matthews interviews third party and perennial election "spoiler," ralph nader on whether he will run for the presidency in 2008. it will be a good thing for politics if ralph nader runs again. some (basically democrats) blame him for george w. bush being elected back in 2000. well, let's quash this right here: bush won because al gore fucked up. gore should have won and he didn't. he wasn't leftist enough or centralist enough or charismatic enough or whatever: he just wasn't good enough. you can blame nader, and even the supreme court, but the truth is, gore even lost his home state of tennessee. and that's the flat out truth. without people like nader, we'd all might as well get lobotomized.
